Robin is a curious observer of the natural world. Early in her life this lead her to explore art making.  Her background as an artist started in 1984, earning a BFA in painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland.

After graduation, Robin took a long hiatus from art. Returning to art making after September 11, 2001, she began to study watercolors. Working currently in water media which includes watercolor, acrylics, and inks, she actively explores and experiments with other materials.

Her passion for the natural world, birds, human activity, and those interactions is woven in with her love of the spontaneity of water media. Taking her cue with the medium’s natural abstraction, pigments, and textures, Robin paints beyond local color, and pictorial observations. Like most artists, Robin has her own idiosyncratic approach to the work in the studio. She embraces the process of spending time with these materials as a way of learning and personal growth.  This act of art making becomes the dialogue between herself and the viewer in this creative journey. Art is the conduit, and by sharing it with others creates a moment unique in time.

Robin is an award winning artist. She has been juried in to various local, regional and national shows, and continues her membership & volunteering in arts organizations.
