The Gallery at OSA is excited to announce Portraits and Figures! This exhibition aims to showcase the wide range of experimental forms, compositions, and subjects featured in contemporary depictions of the figure. Since ancient times, artists have attempted to capture the aura, humor, and beauty of humanity through representational, abstract, and anatomical art. The figure remains one of the most challenging and rewarding subjects to represent in both form and concept.

Richard Ferguson judged this exhibition.

        About Richard

        0009-7555_221.jpeg

Richard, a former illustrator and graphic designer, now dedicates himself full-time to figurative painting and drawing. Primarily working in oil, pencil, and charcoal, he occasionally explores pastel, watercolor, and sculpture. His work often focuses on the human figure, though he also creates still life and landscapes. Combining realism with surreal elements, Richard’s art invites viewers to look beyond the surface, using dynamic compositions and symbolism to provoke deeper reflection. His pieces blend influences from art history while capturing timeless, universal expressions that encourage interpretation and inner dialogue.
