Juror notes: Often the little nooks and crannies of a scene—just a small snippet of a larger scene—make for the most interesting elements to work with in a painting. And this artist handled this scenario well! It was mainly the bold, edited brush strokes on the sidewalk and minimal definition of the cars that drew me into this scene.
